Short sales and foreclosures in our South Coast cities actually decreased over the past few weeks.

Two weeks ago, Dana Point’s percentage of distressed properties for sale was 28%, which has dropped to 26.4%.

San Clemente saw just a slight drop in distressed inventory – the percentage dropped from 29.9% two weeks ago to 29.8%.

San Clemente’s Talega community saw a huge drop in short sales and foreclosures. The area saw its distressed average drop from 51.4% to 42.1%.

San Juan Capistrano followed the South Coast trend and dropped from 30.6% to 28.5%.

Countywide, however, saw a slight increase in short sales and foreclosures.
