As reported in the OC REGISTER, 9/3/10

As the end of SUMMER approaches us here in Orange County, here are a few ideas for your LABOR DAY WEEKEND !  The weather will be beautiful, so go out and enjoy....

Don't forget, if you're looking for a home to purchase or looking to SELL your current home, please call me:  (949) 922-2200.

Weather – temperatures peak Saturday as inland areas hit the 90s and the coast enjoys the mid-70s; Sunday and Monday will see slight cooling. Surf will reach 2-3 feet, and waters remain unseasonably frigid, in the high 50s to low 60s.

Travel – 2.5 million Southern Californians will take to the road or air, up 11 percent from last year. Top destinations: Las Vegas, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Monterey. Ninety-one percent will drive – the highest figure in a decade – but John Wayne Airport still expects heavy crowds, especially Friday and Monday, so arriving at least 90 minutes early is advised.

Entertainment – the Orange International Street Fair will draw a half-million revelers Friday-Sunday for foods and festivities from 15 cultures. Whale-watching is another good bet, as Aquarium of the Pacific reports seeing about 15 big cetaceans – mostly blue whales – per outing, double the normal tally.

Movies – big summer films are mostly over, making way for a handful of smaller movies, including "The American" with George Clooney, "Going The Distance" starring Drew Barrymore and the '70s exploitation-style flick "Machete."
