56% of OC homes in distress?
According to a recent article on February 10, 2009 in the OC Register by By JONATHAN LANSNER The Orange County Register the latest Orange County home inventory report from Steve Thomas of Alterra Real Estate shows the following ...
- 56 percent of the homes listed for sale under $1 million dollars were distressed listings.
- As a percentage of all listed homes for sale the first week of February 2009, 44% of the entire OC market were distressed properties
- Orange County foreclosures were selling fast with an approximate market time of 1.08 months.
- Demand for housing is up 70% over a year ago based on the current number of pending escrows over the past 30 days.
